Redmi, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, has teased that it would be releasing its first-ever gaming smartphone and was then later confirmed by the company which would be released at the end of this month.
No specs were given by Redmi about their first gaming phone but they announced their partnership with Call of Duty Mobile for the unit’s launch.
Although we still don’t have any news on what the phone would look like and what features it would pack, a piece of recent information was provided last month by a reliable tipster. It states that the gaming smartphone will be using a Dimensity 1200 SoC as its chipset. It will also sport a flat OLED display that has a punch-hole that houses a selfie camera. It will carry a 5,000mAh capacity supported by a 65W charging. Since it’s a gaming phone, we can expect shoulder triggers would be present.
It is expected to range from CNY2,000 to 2,500, (PHP14,835-18,545 est.). We can expect official information about the gaming smartphone’s specifications as it is expected to be released at the end of April.
