Redmi 10X and 10X Pro 5G: Dimensity 820, 30x Zoom, AMOLED, Starting at P11k

Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro in China. Powered by MediaTek Helio Dimensity 820 chipset, both handsets support dual-5G standby(will arrive through OTA). With no details yet regarding availability, the prices are as follows:

• Redmi 10X 5G 6GB + 64GB – CNY 1599 yuan (~P11,300)
• Redmi 10X 5G 6GB + 128GB – CNY 1799 yuan (~P12,700) 
• Redmi 10X 5G 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2099 yuan (~P14,800)
• Redmi 10X 5G 8GB + 256GB – CNY 2399 yuan (~P16,900)
• Redmi 10X Pro 5G 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2299 yuan (~P16,200)
• Redmi 10X Pro 5G 8GB + 256GB – CNY 2599 yuan (~P18,300)

The Redmi 10X series still runs on MIUI 11 with the promised MIUI 12 update. There’s no fast refresh rate here, but the displays are punchy and large — thanks to 6.57″ AMOLED panel with HDR10+, capable of 600 nits brightness.

On the Redmi 10X, there’s a triple camera setup featuring 48MP f1.8, 8MP f2.2 ultrawide, and 2MP f2.4 depth. On the front is a 16MP f2.3 selfie camera in a teardrop notch. As for the Redmi 10X Pro, the main sensor is the same, as well as the ultrawide lens but the macro sensor — is now 5MP and there’s an added 8MP telephoto lens — offering OIS, 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and up to 30x digital zoom.

The Redmi 10X series comes in White, Blue, Gold, and Purple colors.

Xiaomi is clearly pushing for 5G as its new devices are the cheapest 5G phones at the moment.
