Realme C11 vs C12 vs C15 Specs Comparison

If there’s one thing affordable phones are good at, it’s that unbeatable battery life. Other than the fact that they come with low-powered chipsets, OEMs pack incredibly-huge battery inside them. While we’ve seen the emergence of 5000mAh earlier this year, we’re surprised to see 6000mAh making debut just in the middle of 2020. But regardless, we’re glad brands offer them at relatively affordable price tags. In the case of Realme, it has breathed new life to its C-Series with huge batteries and capable decent gaming chipsets. Meet Realme C11, C12, and C15.

What are the similarities?

When it comes to Realme, almost all of its handsets are measured 6.5″ diagonal display size in 2020. That’s probably the reason why most of its phones feel familiar, regardless of their price segment. As for the 2020 C-Series, all three are of IPS LCD with 720p resolution. The same story is shared for most of the spec sheet, such as the Helio G35 SoC, Android 10 with Realme UI skin, 13MP main camera, and MicroUSB port.

While it’s already tough to see the difference in the spec sheet, it’s tougher seeing the difference in design. Both the C12 and C15 looks nearly identical, if not for its colors. The former comes in Marine Blue and Coral Red while the latter in Marine Blue and Seagull Silver. Both, again, has a fingerprint scanner on the back. Though the C11 has the same footprint as the two, there’s a strip that runs through the camera module, and the fingerprint scanner is omitted. It’s also worth noting that it’s the thinnest and lightest among the three. But regardless of their sizes, their build is bulky and hefty.

Why Choose Realme C11?

Apart from the two, only Realme C11 is available to purchase in the Philippines. During the launch, the company poised the phone as a perfect companion for homeschooling without breaking the bank. While almost any phone with decent specs is good enough for school use, what does the C11 has to offer compared to its bigger siblings? Well, nothing. Spec-wise, it’s inferior to both. You’re still getting a dual-camera setup, featuring 13MP sensor and 2MP depth lens. The 5MP selfie camera is made not for the best selfies, but essentials like video chat. Aside from the 5000mAh battery, what’s left to praise? That’s the price. At P4,990, Realme C11 trumps almost all of the competition, regardless if it’s performance or battery life. At the moment, it’s the best budget Realme phone that you can get.

Why Choose Realme C12?

There are two reasons to get Realme C12 — those are longer battery life and better value for money than the C11. Realme’s newly released phone in Indonesia, and soon in India, is not very different from its cheaper sibling. The dual-cameras get upgraded to triple-cameras, adding a 2MP monochrome lens for better detail quality. Apparently, Gorilla Glass of an unknown version is already present as the screen’s protection against scratches. You also get the benefit of a more secure way to unlock the phone, which is the capacitive fingerprint scanner on the back. Provided we’re in the state of a pandemic, wherein a mask is always required when going out, fingerprint biometric is the perfect feature for anyone right now. And of course, we can’t forget about that 6000mAh battery. It’s one of the first two Realme phones that got the 6K treatment. Though it’s almost sure it will last two days of usage, expect charging to be a drag through the 10W MicroUSB port.

Why Choose Realme C15?

If you simply want the best phone out of the three — that’s the reason why you should choose Realme C15. Though there’s no difference in display and performance, it’s still bound to provide the best experience out of the three. For starters, the cameras, alongside two 2MP lenses, now feature an 8MP ultrawide lens. You can expect better selfies as well, thanks to the 8MP sensor. Though the chipset and display are the same as the rest of the C-Series, having the option to go up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage should allow you to maintain a smoother and more reliable experience. Does it also mean you can now play higher-end games? Not quite. The added RAM capacity just keeps lags to a minimum, as the C15 is capable of holding more apps in the background. As mentioned, it’s the second phone with a 6000mAh battery. However, Realme paired it with 18W fast charging. While it still charges via MicroUSB, it’s still better than getting stuck at 10W.

Which is the Best Phone?

With Realme C11 now in the country just recently, we doubt Realme C12 will replace it any soon. At the moment, it’s the best phone to get if your budget is under P5,000. But if you can save a bit more and wait a bit more, Realme C15 may be the better choice here. In other countries, the phone is set to arrive next week. We also have a good feeling that it’s going to land locally, sometime this August. You may want to keep yourself from purchasing Realme 5i, especially that it’s more than likely to be replaced by C15.

  1. It used to be that brands will put out some budget phones, sporting different ram and rom configurations. Now, brands put out a lot of phones, with not much difference, only the ram and rom are different. Fine example is these recently released C series from Realme.
