POCO has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming mid-range smartphone with a massive battery in India, the POCO X8 Power 5G.

Promotional material from POCO revealed that the X8 Power 5G will go official on September 4. The teaser also showed the device in the brand’s signature dual-tone yellow finish, alongside a dual-camera configuration housed within a squircle camera module.
The main highlight of the teaser is its massive 10,000mAh battery, which is said to be the biggest battery ever on a POCO phone. It is claimed to last up to 3.5 days on a single charge, while the brand is promising a six-year battery lifespan.
POCO has yet to reveal further information about the device, although reports suggest that it will support up to 100W wired fast charging via USB-C along with up to 27W reverse charging and can be used as a powerbank to charge other devices.
Rumors also revealed that it will sport a 6.83-inch panel with 3,500 nits peak HDR brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Powering it inside is allegedly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. Meanwhile, it will be equipped with a 50MP main camera with OIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 32MP selfie sensor.
Additional leaks point to an IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings and four Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches.

Aside from the X8 Power 5G, the POCO X8 5G with a 9,000mAh battery is also launching on the same day.
More details are expected to be unveiled during the launch.
