A new mid-range offering from the POCO just launched in the Philippines, and it’s the POCO X8 Pro.
If you’re wondering what this device has to offer for the local market. Read more below.
The unit we have comes in the white color variant, featuring a clean and aesthetically pleasing design.

One standout detail is the red accent on the camera sensors, which adds a subtle but eye-catching touch, especially from a distance.
Despite having a plastic back, the device still feels premium thanks to its aluminum frame.

Its build is quite similar to the POCO F8 Pro, and they are nearly identical in weight, which is around 202 grams. In daily use, the phone feels well-balanced in the hand, although extended usage may cause slight fatigue.

Another highlight is its IP68/IP69K rating, which means you won’t have to worry too much about rain or accidental splashes.

Up front, the POCO X8 Pro is equipped with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display that supports HDR10+, HDR Vivid, Dolby Vision, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3500 nits.
In our real-world use, the display delivers excellent performance.

Colors are vibrant, details are sharp, and the slim bezels provide an immersive viewing experience. Even under direct sunlight, visibility remains strong thanks to its high brightness levels.
Whether for entertainment, productivity, or casual browsing, the display performs exceptionally well.

In terms of cameras, the POCO X8 Pro keeps things simple. It features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP front camera.
While the camera system gets the job done, it does not particularly stand out compared to other devices in its segment.
It produces decent detail and sharpness in daylight conditions.
It’s okay for day-to-day and casual use, but if you’re expecting more, or if you’re someone who prioritizes camera performance in a smartphone, you may need to lower your expectations a bit.
Now, inside the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor.

In day-to-day tasks, the phone performs smoothly with no noticeable slowdowns. It handles photo and video editing with ease.

We also tested gaming with Where Winds Meet, where the device delivered solid performance.

Minor frame drops were observed during resource downloads, but overall gameplay remained smooth.
For a mid-range device, its performance in multitasking and gaming is impressive.
Benchmark Results
The POCO X8 Pro is backed by a large 6500mAh battery.

Casual users can expect up to a day and a half of usage on a single charge.
The POCO X8 Pro is available in three configurations in the Philippines:
Overall, the POCO X8 Pro is a promising mid-range smartphone. It offers a durable build, an impressive display, solid battery life, and strong performance.
