POCO X3 NFC To Be Discontinued

In less than 24 hours, POCO will announce a new smartphone that might come with yet another competitive price tag. After launching the POCO F3 and POCO X3 Pro in the country, the company is going to release the new POCO M3 Pro 5G in several parts of the world, including the Philippines. Based on a recent exclusive interview, the upcoming phone will affect the production of X3 NFC.

POCO X3 NFC is more than half a year old, and while it’s still a good purchase in 2021, the six-month cycle of phones means it’s bound for replacement. With that in mind, the introduction of POCO M3 Pro 5G will halt the production of the X3 NFC. Based on rumors, the M3 Pro 5G is going to be a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G.

Redmi Note 5G features a 90Hz IPS LCD, Dimensity 700 SoC, up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB expandable storage, 48MP triple cameras, and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The most notable difference is the design, with the POCO M3 Pro 5G sporting another bold look like the POCO M3. According to renders, it’ll come in yellow, black, and blue colors, with a huge strip on the back, à la Samsung Galaxy S21.

There’s no information yet regarding the price, but to give you an idea, the Redmi Note 10 5G went on sale for $199(~Php9,600) and $249(~Php12,000).
