LG V20 phablet goes official in IFA and it comes with a lot of big improvements in tow: military standard metal build, larger battery, dual lens camera, quad DAC, and high-res audio capture are just some of those.
Finally, the LG V series will be utilizing a metal design while keeping the removable battery and military grade build or shock resistance. The front still houses the same 5.7-inch quad HD IPS LCD panel and the secondary 2.1-inch screen on top that supports 24 digits.
The Korean company focuses on multimedia section this time around. The LG V20 gets a quad-DAC system, 32bit or 192kHz FLAC audio support including an HD recorder for musicians, and high-res audio sound in video recording (24bit or 48kHz). Some regions like Asia (the Philippines, hopefully) will also get the Bang & Olufsen Play-ready LG V20 with B&O headset.
The camera is another big addition with the dual lens, dual main camera setup which the same to LG G5. The main camera is a 16MP f1.8 lens in standard angle while the 8MP f2.4 camera has a 135-degree or ultra wide angle. Expect a better manual video control too over the LG V10 like a focus highlight and in-depth audio controls.
Under the hood is the same Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset we’ve encountered in most flagship phones this year. This is paired with a 32GB or 64GB onboard storage and 4GB RAM with microSD card support up to 256GB.
LG V20 will be the first non-Nexus smartphone to run in Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Expect the phablet to become available as early as September 23 for $649 US price before taxes or about P37k pesos (estimated) in the Philippines.

.too expensive…gosh!!!
quack says:
That’s pretty expensive for a base model. Then again, they managed to put so much into this phone. And it actually looks good. That wide angle camera will be very useful for landscape/cityscape shots.
