Some of you might have noticed that gaming smartphones in the market continuously introduce something new, whether it’s new features, or designs.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro is one of the latest devices focused on gaming. But what more does this device offer?
In terms of design, the Infinix GT 50 Pro already gives off a strong gaming vibe at first glance.
The unit that we have comes in the Red Blaze color variant, featuring a futuristic aesthetic with lighting elements on its rear panel. Since the device is designed for gaming, it also comes with GT shoulder triggers.

At first, the triggers were a bit confusing to use since they aren’t very raised. There were even times when we were taking outdoor photos and accidentally activated burst shots while holding the shoulder trigger.
As for the build quality, the device feels slim and lightweight despite weighing around 198 grams. It is comfortable to hold and easy to use, even with just one hand. The rear panel also does not feel overly slippery despite its soft finish.

Moving on to the display, the device features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with support for a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4500 nits.

While using the phone for watching videos, the display delivered great visual quality. The bezels are slim, which adds to the immersive experience, and the panel offers vibrant colors with good levels of detail.

Although I do not normally use my phone outdoors often, the display performs well even under direct sunlight. Details and colors remain visible thanks to its strong brightness levels.
Now, let’s talk about the cameras. The Infinix GT 50 Pro features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the front houses a 13MP selfie shooter.
Rear Camera Sample Shots (Daylight)
In daylight photography, the rear camera captures impressive images with good color reproduction, decent detail, and sharpness. It also offers a wide dynamic range with well-processed highlights. For a gaming-focused smartphone, the rear camera performance is surprisingly promising.
Rear Camera Sample Shots (Lowlight)
As for low-light photography, the quality is decent overall. There are times when the details appear slightly soft, but the camera still brightens images nicely, which helps produce usable shots in darker environments.
Front Camera Sample Shots
For selfies, the quality is acceptable. Skin tones look natural, although the camera sometimes struggles with highlights and exposure.
In terms of video recording, the rear camera can shoot up to 4K at 60FPS, while the front camera supports up to 4K at 30FPS. Video quality is good overall, but similar to the selfie camera, exposure handling could still be improved.
When it comes to performance, the Infinix GT 50 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset.

For day-to-day use, the chipset is more than capable of delivering reliable performance. It handles both light and heavy workloads with ease, and considering its price range, the phone offers solid value.
For gaming, titles like Genshin Impact run smoothly even at medium settings. Frame drops are minimal, and we rarely encountered any major performance issues during our testing.
Benchmark Results
For those who want to see its full gaming capabilities, we will also be posting a dedicated gaming review for the device in the coming days.
Moving forward to the battery, the phone is equipped with a 6150mAh battery paired with 45W wired charging and 5W wireless charging support.

In our experience, the battery comfortably lasted an entire day with around six hours of screen time. There was still enough remaining battery for the next day, although I usually charge my device before going to bed.

While it may not offer the strongest battery life in its category, it still performs reliably for everyday use.
As of writing, there is still no official pricing for the Infinix GT 50 Pro in the Philippines.
However, based on our experience, the device performs well for day-to-day use.
It offers a futuristic design, a high-quality display, and reliable overall performance. While the cameras still have room for improvement, they perform better than expected for a gaming-centric smartphone.

For users looking for a device focused on gaming, the Infinix GT 50 Pro checks most of the important boxes.
That wraps up our experience with the Infinix GT 50 Pro. What are your thoughts about this device? Let us know in the comments below.
