Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform.
Built on a 4nm process, the chipset features a Qualcomm Kryo CPU with clock speeds up to 2.4GHz.
It also includes an Adreno GPU with up to 77% performance improvement compared to the previous generation, along with support for up to 90fps gaming.
For connectivity, the platform supports 5G Release 17 with peak download speeds of up to 2.8Gbps and upload speeds up to 900Mbps.
t also introduces Smart Network Select 3.0, which automatically switches to the strongest available signal, and Dual SIM Dual Active support for simultaneous connections.
The chip uses a Qualcomm Spectra ISP that supports up to 108MP single camera sensors, electronic image stabilization, and multi-frame noise reduction. It also supports FHD+ displays at up to 144Hz refresh rate.
Other features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, LPDDR4x memory support, Qualcomm Quick Charge 5, and USB-C 2.0. Audio support includes aptX Adaptive and 96kHz streaming.
