On schedule, Huawei yesterday unveiled its latest foldable smartphone in China called the Huawei Mate Xs 2.
For specs, it sports a 6.5-inch OLED cover display with a pixel resolution of 2480 x 1176. The interior display covers a 7.8-inch OLED screen and 2480 x 2200-pixel resolution. It incorporates the “Eagle Wing” steel hinge design and a refined double rotor hinge mechanism which is claimed to improve long-term durability and also leaves no visible crease on the display. Durability is secured on the polymer-covered display with the four-layer structure design.
Under the hood, it comes with the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal storage, and a 4,880mAh battery with 66W fast charging. It boots HarmonyOS 2, supports an M-Pen 2s stylus with 4096-level pressure sensitivity, and comes with a Collector’s Edition which has a 4,880mAh battery.
The Huawei Mate Xs 2 is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting May 6.
