Members of the Social Security System who have not yet received the UMID card for which they have applied are now eligible to receive a free upgrade to an ATM Pay Card, which will make it simpler for them to apply for benefits and loans, according to a statement released by the state insurer on Thursday, November 24.
The UMID ATM Pay Card can be use by members as both an identification card and a debit card. Allowing them to receive SSS loans, claim proceeds, and make refunds using the card.
Additionally, it may be use to make cashless payments at any retail or online store, and it can also be use to withdraw money from an ATM or an online bank transfer.

According to the statement made by the SSS, members who have already filed for a generic UMID card but are still waiting for it to be released can apply for a free upgrade to a UMID ATM Pay Card.
The state agency has yet to announce whether or not members who already have UMID cards are eligible to request an update to their cards.
Those who take advantage of the free upgrade will receive a ₱200 electronic gift certificate from Jollibee. They will also be entered into a raffle to win a Mitsubishi Xpander, which UnionBank will sponsor.
A member must first be enrolle on the SSS website at https://member.sss.gov.ph/members. The member must also ensure that all their SSS information is accurate and current.
