Honor Play 20 Debuts in China with 6.5” LCD, Unisoc Tiger T610 Chipset, 5000mAh Capacity

Honor has unveiled a budget-friendly smartphone in China. This is called the Honor Play 20 which suggests that this is the KOZ-AL00 4G LTE phone that has been certified by the TENAA authority in China.

The Honor Play 20 will sport a 6.5-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution. This uses a Unisoc Tiger T610 chipset that includes 2 x Cortex A75 cores that clocks at a speed of 1.8GHz and a 6 x Cortex-A55 cores clocking in 1.GHz. This is paired with a Mali G52 GPU that has a speed of 614.4MHz.

This smartphone has up to 8GB of RAM and internal storage of 128GB that can be expanded with a dedicated microSD slot. An Android 10-based Magic UI 4.0 OS runs the phone, however, there is no Google Play Services. Battery capacity runs at 5,000mAh supported by a 10W charging.

When it comes to camera setup, the rear is equipped with a dual-camera which has a 13MP main shooter and 2MP depth sensor. The squarish camera setup also includes an LED flash. As for the selfie camera, this uses a 5MP wide camera.

The Honor Play 20 is already available to pre-order while it will launch across Chinese markets on April 30. The available color variations for the phone are Magic Night Black, Iceland White, Aurora Blue, and Titanium Silver. As for prices and configurations, there will be 4GB RAM + 128GB storage which costs 899 Yuan (PHP6,720 est.), 6GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at 1,099 Yuan (PHP8,210 est.), and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage with a price tag of 1,399 Yuan (PHP10,455 est.). Let’s wait for further announcements when it comes to its international release.
