Globe is actively combatting this issue by cracking down on mobile numbers within its network associated with such messages.

As of September this year, Globe has successfully thwarted 2.59 billion spam and scam messages, deactivated 4,733 SIMs, and blacklisted 150,287 numbers associated with SMS fraud.

The company deactivates SIMs on its own network linked to fraud and blacklists numbers from other networks to prevent them from sending SMS messages to Globe SIMs.

To fortify its defenses, Globe operates a 24/7 Security Operations Center dedicated to filtering out unwanted messages from both international and local numbers. With a substantial ₱1.1 billion investment, the company has significantly upgraded its spam and scam SMS detection and blocking mechanisms.
