The recently concluded review comparison between Sony’s Xperia C5 Ultra and Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 has had a lot of interesting information, however, despite being relatively heftier, the Xperia C5 Ultra showcased better results in a review comparison which makes it a better but than the Redmi Note 3. In regards to that, we’ll provide you with our list of reasons as to why the C5 Ultra is a better buy than the Redmi Note 3.

The Xperia C5 Ultra’s oleophobic back cover and overall built were absolutely one of the huge factors that heavily affected our design department. Its design is simply, as to the Redmi Note 3, but with a little more finesse than the latter. The Xperia C5 Ultra’s almost zero bezel count is surely something to look at, maximising all the necessary space on the said device in which, we in ManilaShaker are greatly attached to.
From our review comparison, we stated that the Xperia C5 Ultra provided more accurate and more vividness in the display department while the Redmi Note 3 showcased a sharper display. The colour accuracy of the Xperia C5 Ultra’s display is all thanks to its BraviaEngine and X-reality display feature, which ensures a very detailed display imagery and colour-wise display blendings.
Its outputs on daylight and low light showcased better outputs overall and was able to provide better control of noise and brightness level. The daylight outputs were quite admirable since it delivered really clear and sharp outputs while the Redmi Note 3 was a bit out of it. In selfies, however, we’ve seen the aggressive colour of the Xperia C5 Ultra at play and was able to provide a more natural blending of colours, while the Redmi Note 3 provide too much in the white balance department.
Both devices performed quite well in the battery tests and was able to provide some pretty decent results, however, the Xperia C5 Ultra hold one particular edge in the battery department on its opponents, the charging time. The Xperia C5 Ultra provided better charging time, with its 2 hours and 30 minutes, in comparison to the 2-hour and 50-minute charging time of the Redmi Note 3.
Despite being a bit par with one another in terms of audio quality, the speaker positioning mainly played a role in providing a better approach in audio quality as a whole. With the Xperia C5 Ultra showing a tad bit better in audio, since the Redmi Note 3’s speaker is positioned at the back, which projects the sound away from its listener. The conveniently placed front speaker is more effective in a side by side audio comparison and showcased better results.
