Cherry Mobile rolled out Windows 8.1 Update to the Alpha Luxe and Alpha Style handsets.

Users can take advantage of the improvements provided as follows:
- Live Folders that allows user to organize apps into folders on his Start screen by simply dragging a tile over another tile and then naming the folder.
- Automatic Scheduled Updates activates when an update is available. It is automatically installed at the time of the user’s preference, such as overnight when phone is charging.
- SMS Merge and Forwarding provides the ability to select multiple SMS messages for deletion and forwarding.
- VPN through Wi-Fi offers a VPN functionality through a public Wi-Fi hotspot
- Improved IE on Mobile Website greatly enhances mobile usage and compatibility for Windows Phone users.
- Quick Charging as supported by Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. It allows Windows Phone users with the appropriate chipset to take advantage of Qualcomm’s rapid, high voltage USB charging that will be 75% faster.
- Advanced Bluetooth gives customer better streaming and compatibility for Windows Phone media through the advanced support for Bluetooth standards PAN (personal area network) 1.0 profile, aptX codec support for A2DP, and browsing support for AVRCP.
- Improved Battery Life brought by the numerous fixes done will lengthen the battery life of all Windows Phones.
