During MWC 2023, Apple showed off its first mixed-reality gadget, Apple Vision Pro. The software on the “spatial computer” is called VisionOS, and it has two OLED screens with a combined resolution of 23 million pixels. Apple said the refresh rate of the screens is set to 90Hz, but rumors say it can go up to 100Hz.

DuanRui, a Twitter leaker, says that the Vision Pro’s frame rate is 90Hz by default and can go up to 100Hz. This means that the headset has a variable refresh rate and can change its update rate based on what is being shown.
For comparison, the refresh rate of the base model iPhones is 60Hz, while the refresh rate of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro is 120Hz.
As 9to5Mac says, the minimum refresh rate for a decent virtual reality experience is usually thought to be 90Hz. This is because your brain is more likely to think that movements at 90Hz is real. But because of how spatial computing works, you might not notice a big change even if the refresh rate is less than 90Hz.
Apple is still making improvements to its Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, which is expected to come out in early 2024. It will cost $3,499 (about PHP196,500), which makes it the most expensive Apple gadget ever made.
The headset will work with a wide range of popular iPhone and iPad apps, like Microsoft Word and Excel, Disney+, and Sky Guide. Apple has also said that it will support the Unity game engine. This will give Vision Pro users a wide range of fun and interesting things to do.
