Redmi 12 5G is already for sale around the world, and the company just revealed that it will also be sold in China. The phone has a 90Hz LCD screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, and an Android 13-based MIUI 14 operating system.
Today, Redmi released a new version of the phone with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage. This makes the phone more affordable for customers.
The Redmi 12 5G with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is for sale for ¥949 (about PHP7,400). In China, these are the prices for other versions of the phone:
- 6GB + 128GB – ¥999 (PHP7,600)
- 8GB + 128GB – ¥1,099 (PHP8,400)
- 8GB + 256GB – ¥1,299 (PHP10,100)
Glacier White and Stardust Gray are two stylish colors for the Redmi 12. It is made of glass and has a thin shape, measuring only 8.17mm thick. It has a big 6.79-inch LCD screen on the front with a high resolution of 2460×1080. This screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz and has features like DC dimming and smart brightness control.
The Redmi 12 is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, which is made with a 4nm process and can hit speeds of up to 2.2GHz. It also has UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM. The phone’s 5000mAh battery makes it stable and long-lasting, and it can be charged quickly with 18W.
On the back, there is a main camera with 50MP and a depth-of-field lens with 2MP. The Redmi 12 also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR remote control, a fingerprint scanner on the side, and support for NFC, which can be used for many different things.
