Apple has started rolling out the stable iOS 27 today, September 14. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, iOS 27 will be available starting September 15.
One of the main updates is Siri AI, a new version of Siri that can understand what is displayed on the screen, use information from apps such as Messages, Mail, and Photos, and provide up-to-date information from the web.
Siri AI can also perform actions across apps and keep a history of conversations through a dedicated Siri app. The feature is rolling out in English, with support for additional languages planned.
iOS 27 also adds new Apple Intelligence tools across supported apps. These include new image editing features in Photos, updates to Image Playground, and AI-powered suggestions in Messages and Mail.
Apple is also adding new parental controls and Screen Time features. Parents can set time allowances for Entertainment, Games, and Social Media apps, manage app access during specific schedules, and require approval when children add new contacts.
The update also includes performance improvements, with Apple saying apps can launch up to 30% faster, photos can load up to 70% faster after being taken, and AirDrop transfers can be up to 80% faster.
Other changes include more customization options for the Liquid Glass design, updated app icons, improvements to Mail and Spotlight search, and various updates across Apple’s other platforms.
iOS 27 is available as a free software update for supported iPhone models. Apple Intelligence and Siri AI require compatible hardware, and some features may vary depending on language and region.
