It might be of interest to you that if you keep up with the news, public transportation fare systems are getting a makeover with Beep Cards to allow cash-free transactions.

Beeper Cards are used on rail and bus systems as train and metro systems. It is all a matter of tapping, sliding, or inserting the card into the machine and then getting on with your journey. You should, however, ensure that your card has enough credit to avoid any delays in processing.

The Beep card was launched in 2015 as a service designed to be widely used in LRT1, LRT2, and MRT3 train systems. A few bus lines – including BGC Bus, Citylink buses, and most P2P buses – eventually began accepting Beep Cards for the payment of fares.

What Are The Benefits Of Using A Beep Card?

This will make the payment process easier for commuters in the Philippines. With this card, you won’t have to stand in line for a long time to buy train or bus tickets, versus paying for these tickets in cash. You can also use this app to pay for your fare even if you do not have exact change or coins.

Reload your Beep Card using GCash, Credit/Debit Cards, or Bank Transfers

You can add a load to the Beep Card in two main ways. To start with, online methods are entirely hassle-free and save you time. On the other hand, there is also the more traditional over-the-counter method. You’ll be able to see for yourself today which of the said methods you prefer, and we’ll list them all out for you here.

Here Is a Step-by-Step Guide on How to Top Up Your Beep Card

Even though GCash cannot be directly used as a payment method, a website called JustPayTo lets you use credit/debit cards and bank transfers and Globe’s payment service as a means of payment. Despite this, there is a ₱10 service fee associated with using this service.
