Samsung Galaxy A52 5G Surfaces with Snapdragon 750G, 4500mAh, and 64MP Cam

Last year, it was the Galaxy A71 that became Samsung’s best bang-for-the-buck mid-range phone as it took the title from the Galaxy A51. The reason for that is the use of a more powerful chipset while keeping the price tag reasonable. In 2021, the Galaxy A52 is expected to launch anytime soon. Thanks to a new leak, we have a good idea of how the phone is shaping up.

According to an exclusive report from Voice, as it releases the first official images of the Galaxy A52 5G, the upcoming mid-range Samsung phone will pack a small but spacious 6.46″ display. The same Super AMOLED Infinity-O is here, though the use of a fast refresh rate is missing. However, that should put the 4500mAh battery in a good spot in terms of longevity. While the other OEMs are already using at least 20W or 33W for their affordable phones, Samsung appears to be sticking with the relatively slow 15W charger.

One of the biggest upgrades of the Galaxy A52 is the chipset — Snapdragon 750G. It’s a 5G-capable chip that trades blows with the Snapdragon 765G, albeit with a slightly less capable GPU. It’s said to be paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. But for the cameras, the back is going to be commanded by a 64MP sensor, alongside ultrawide, depth, and macro lenses. Upfront is a 32MP selfie.

Samsung Galaxy A52 is expected to ship with One UI 3 based on Android 11 out of the box. Though, we hope the charger will still be included. There’s no information yet regarding the price, but we’re guessing the release date might be around the 1st quarter of the year.
