In case you missed it, vivo has officially launched the vivo X300 Ultra in the Philippines, adding another flagship device to the X Series lineup.
Aside from its popular vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender accessory, what else is new?
We’ve spent some time with the device and used it as our main daily driver for a day to see how it performs in everyday situations.
Here’s our experience with the vivo X300 Ultra.
As usual, let’s start with the design.
The vivo X300 Ultra is available in only one color option in the Philippines, which is Steppe Green. The rear panel features a two-tone design with a green finish and a gray-silver accent at the bottom.

One thing that’s difficult to ignore, however, is the camera module. The camera bump is noticeably large and protrudes from the back of the phone. While this is expected from a camera-focused flagship, it’s something you’ll immediately notice when holding the device.
The phone is also on the heavier side, weighing around 232 grams and measuring 8.49mm thick. While the weight helps make the device feel premium and solid, prolonged one-handed use can become tiring after some time.

On the positive side, vivo includes a protective case in the box that matches the Steppe Green colorway. However, because the case uses a solid green finish, the two-tone rear design is mostly hidden once installed.
For durability, the vivo X300 Ultra comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, providing additional protection against everyday exposure to water and dust.
The vivo X300 Ultra features a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168 Ă— 1440 pixels, 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and up to 4,500 nits local peak brightness.

In daily use, the display is one of the device’s strongest points. Text appears sharp, videos look detailed, and colors are vibrant without appearing overly saturated.
The adaptive refresh rate also helps make scrolling feel smooth across social media apps, web browsing, and gaming.

Outdoor visibility is generally not an issue, even under direct sunlight. While most users may never fully utilize the advertised peak brightness, the panel remains easy to view in bright environments.
On paper, the vivo X300 Ultra offers a 200MP main camera (f/1.85), a 50MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.0), a 200MP telephoto camera (f/2.67), and a 5MP additional sensor (f/2.0). Selfies are handled by a 50MP (f/2.45) sensor.

Based on our experience, the rear cameras produce highly detailed images with a wide dynamic range. Photos generally retain good shadow and highlight detail without looking washed out, while colors remain pleasing without appearing excessively processed.
For most users, images coming directly from the camera are already social-media ready and require little to no editing before posting.
The 50MP front camera also delivers good results. Skin tones appear natural, and selfie processing is not overly aggressive, helping preserve a more realistic look.
If you’d like a deeper look at the camera system and sample photos, we’ll be publishing a dedicated camera review of the vivo X300 Ultra soon. Stay tuned to our website, social media pages, and YouTube channel for that coverage.
Powering the vivo X300 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
For everyday usage, performance is more than sufficient. Social media browsing, messaging, video streaming, photography, and multitasking all run smoothly without noticeable slowdowns.

Gaming performance is also excellent. During our testing, we did not encounter significant frame drops, stutters, or performance-related issues while playing demanding mobile titles.
Benchmark Results
The vivo X300 Ultra is equipped with a 6,600mAh battery and supports 100W FlashCharge as well as 40W wireless charging.

For our battery test, we started at 100% battery at 3:28 PM and ended the test at 10:45 AM the following day. Over that period, the phone consumed approximately 67% of its battery capacity, translating to roughly 9% battery drain per hour.
Our usage included a mix of light, moderate, and heavy activities, including social media browsing, photography, video consumption, messaging, and gaming.

Based on our experience, the battery is capable of comfortably lasting a full day for most users, with enough remaining capacity for the following morning, depending on usage patterns.
The vivo X300 Ultra is priced at PHP 109,999 in the Philippines.
For users who want even more zoom capability, the device can be paired with the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, a 200mm-equivalent accessory sold separately for PHP 13,999.
The vivo X300 Ultra is clearly designed for those who are into photography, but it also delivers where a flagship smartphone is expected to. It offers a great display, strong battery life, flagship-level performance, and a versatile camera system.

Its large camera module and relatively heavy build may not appeal to everyone, especially users who prefer lighter devices. However, if camera performance is a priority, the trade-off may be worth considering.
That wraps up our experience with the vivo X300 Ultra. What are your thoughts on this device? Let us know in the comments below.
