WhatsApp Starts Rolling Out Scheduled Messages on Android Beta

WhatsApp is rolling out a scheduled messaging feature to select beta testers on Android.

Accordint to WABetaInfo, the feature is available in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.26.40.7.

Users can schedule a message by typing it in a chat and tapping and holding the send button to choose a delivery time.

Messages can be scheduled from 10 minutes to two weeks in advance. WhatsApp will send them automatically at the selected time, even if the app is closed or the device is offline.

Users can also manage or delete scheduled messages through a dedicated section in the chat info screen before they are sent. Recipients will not be notified if a scheduled message is deleted.

The feature supports individual and group chats, as well as end-to-end encryption.

In group chats, scheduled messages will only be delivered to members who were part of the group when the message was scheduled.

WhatsApp is gradually rolling out the feature to more beta testers over the coming weeks. Availability remains limited, and not all beta users can access it yet.
