Nothing has started rolling out the Android 17-based Nothing OS 5.0 General Release.
Nothing OS 5.0 brings a redesigned Settings menu, updated icons, the Geist typeface, improved Camera and Gallery apps, and new lock screen clocks, widgets, and personalization options.

The update also improves app launches, scrolling, multitasking, and background app management. AI upgrades include better Essential Voice transcription, Smart Collections in Essential Space, and Essential Apps Builder for creating simple tools without coding.
Other additions include separate Notifications and Quick Settings panels, QR code file sharing, improved screen recording, expanded Dark Theme support, enhanced HDR brightness, and updated privacy indicators.
