Vivo Z6 5G is the first Snapdragon 765G phone from the company
In China, Vivo has announced Vivo Z6 5G with a price of CNY2298(~P16,750) and CNY2598(~P18,900) for the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB models, respectively. The colors of the device are available in Ice Age, Interstellar Silver, and Aurora Black. We initially thought that the Z6 could be the Redmi K30 or Realme K50 killer but it seems this isn’t the case anymore. Sure, it packs Snapdragon 765G that enables dual-5G standby, but the lack of 120Hz or even 90Hz hurt the phone’s chances even more.
On the flip end, the Z6 has a few good things going on. A large 5000mAh battery powers the device complete with 44W SuperFlash charge technology. This allows charging up to 70% in just 35 minutes and 100% in 65 minutes. As claimed by the company, there’s “PC-grade” liquid cooling technology baked into the hardware, allowing to reduce the temperature to a cool 10°C. One can tell that Z6 is made for gamers as the quad-camera setup is headlined by a 48MP sensor instead of the larger 64MP. However, the storage seems to come in a 128GB model only with no option to expand. That may be a deciding factor for gamers who install tons of games on their phones. Vivo Z6 5G pre-order is already up in China with shipments starting on March 8. As of writing, there’s no word yet whether it’ll arrive in other countries.
