When it comes to smartphone cameras, vivo is one of the brands that consistently delivers exceptional performance.
Whether it’s a mid-range or flagship device, they always find a way to impress. But aside from its cameras, what else does this phone offer? Is it worth its price? Let’s find out!
In terms of design, despite the limited color options, the vivo X200 offers a simple yet premium look. One of the standout features of its design is the camera module. Even though it protrudes, its style is quite appealing.
The device features a metal frame with a smooth, glossy glass back. However, it is prone to fingerprint smudges, so I recommend using a case to avoid constantly wiping it.
In terms of dimensions, the vivo X200 weighs 202g and has a thickness of 8mm. While it is on the heavier side, it still feels comfortable in the hand. It is also slightly smaller than most smartphones, making one-handed use easier and reducing strain on the arm.
Regarding the frame, the power and volume buttons are located on the right side, while a speaker grille is positioned at the top. At the bottom, you’ll find another speaker grille, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a SIM tray.
Design-wise, the vivo X200 may not be the most eye-catching device, but its premium and minimalist look is enough to make an impression. Additionally, it comes with an IP69 rating, making it a durable choice.
Now, let’s talk about its display. The vivo X200 boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260×2800 and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+ and has a peak brightness of 4500 nits. For protection, it features Schott Xensation Alpha glass.
After using this device for a couple of weeks, I can say that the display experience has been excellent. The slightly curved edges minimize the bezels, creating an immersive viewing experience. Outdoor visibility is also impressive, thanks to its high peak brightness. Whether for entertainment or daily use, the display delivers vibrant colors and excellent viewing angles.
Now, let’s move on to its key selling point—the cameras. The vivo X200 features a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP OIS main sensor, a 50MP OIS telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, a 32MP ultra-wide selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout.
Rear Camera Samples
In daylight, the vivo X200 captures images with natural color tones, impressive detail, and a wide dynamic range.
For low-light photography, the device performs exceptionally well, enhancing brightness without introducing noise or softness. It maintains excellent sharpness and detail, making it an impressive choice for nighttime photography.
Ultra-wide shots also deliver good colors and sharp details, with no noticeable softness around the edges. However, they tend to have deep blacks and shadows.
As for its 10x zoom, it captures decent images with good detail and sharpness. Below is a side-by-side comparison of 3x and 10x zoom shots.
Selfie Sample Shots
For selfies, the 32MP front camera produces sharp and detailed images with balanced highlights and decent color saturation.
When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras support up to 4K@60FPS (without stabilization) and 2.8K@60FPS (with stabilization). Meanwhile, the front camera can record at 4K@60FPS (without stabilization) and 1080P@30FPS (with stabilization).
Now, let’s talk about performance. Under the hood, the vivo X200 is powered by the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and runs on Android 15 with Funtouch 15. Our unit comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Multitasking is effortless on this device. Whether for productivity or entertainment, the vivo X200 never slows down. We also tested Zenless Zone Zero, and the experience was smooth, with no stutters or frame drops. Below are some benchmark results.
Benchmark Results
For battery life, the vivo X200 is equipped with a 5800mAh battery paired with 90W fast charging. In our video loop test, it lasted 15 hours and 37 minutes. As for charging, it took about 39 minutes to go from 0% to 100%.
Now, let’s talk about its price. The vivo X200 is priced at PHP57,999 for the 16GB + 512GB configuration. Overall, this phone excels in camera performance, making it an excellent choice for photography and videography enthusiasts. The display is impressive, and the design is simple yet durable.
However, one notable downside is the lack of AI features, which many competing brands now offer. Nonetheless, the vivo X200 remains a solid choice.
