Bandai has introduced the Tamagotchi Ring, a ring-shaped version of its popular virtual pet device.
The Tamagotchi Ring keeps the basic caregiving features of the original Tamagotchi but comes in a much smaller wearable design.
The device measures around 23 × 28mm and features a tiny 0.56-inch color LCD screen. It has side buttons for controlling the virtual pet, while the three buttons below the display are decorative.
The Tamagotchi Ring has a built-in battery and comes with a dedicated charging case. It also includes 30 Tamagotchi characters from the franchise’s 30-year history.
The ring is designed for Japanese ring size 14. An adapter is also available for smaller fingers.

Bandai developed the device over two years, using 52 electronic components and 12 plastic housing parts to fit everything into its small form factor.
The Tamagotchi Ring is priced at JPY7,700 (around PHP3,000) in Japan, with shipments set to begin in February 2027.
As of now, there is no confirmed release date or availability for the Tamagotchi Ring in the Philippines.
