Table of Contents
Best Cameraphone 2015 both in still image and video is the Sony Xperia Z5
Note: Sony Xperia Z5 has the same camera sensor and optics as the Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium.
In terms of color, the Sony Xperia Z5 wins and trumps all shooters we’ve tested. Its 23MP rear camera produced crisp and vivid images. The quality is really very close to real-world. Night and low light shots are also worth mentioning, most of the details remain with pleasing colors and good amount of exposure level.
On the video recording, the image stabilization or Steady Shot on Xperia Z5 proves to beat the optical image stabilization (OIS) on Galaxy Note 5 and the hybrid stabilization on LG V10 and G4. Below we higllight some advantages and disadvantes of Xperia Z5 why it’s no.1 in the camera department.
Pros of Sony Xperia Z5 Camera

- Bluish tint on some night shots / too much brightness or exposure control
Honorable mentions: LG V10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5
It’s very easy to pick the second best cameraphone, which is the LG V10. The V10 has 16MP f1.8 camera that is equipped with manual video and image controls, perhaps the best setup we’ve encountered. It has also the sharpest camera in the group.
Coming close is at 3rd is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with 16MP f1.9 camera. The Note 5 captures images fast and with very pleasing colors too.
We can safely put iPhone 6s and Nexus 6P tied at 4th.
