Snapdragon 8/8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 are already available from Qualcomm, but it seems that the Snapdragon 6 series will soon get a new model. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 looks to have an official spec sheet, which Evan Blass obtained in advance of its upcoming release.
The forthcoming mid-range processor will use a 4nm process and contain a new Kryo CPU core with a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz, according to the information provided in the spec sheet. A single 108-megapixel camera or a triple 13-megapixel camera system will be natively supported, and it will be able to support Full HD+ displays at refresh rates of up to 120hz.
Contrary to the Snapdragon 695 that is now in use, the 6 Gen 1 will be able to record 720p (the 270p may be an error) films in slo-mo at up to 240 frames per second. Along with Quick Charge 4+ and WiFi 6E with its FastConnect 6700 modem, other noteworthy features include support for LPDDR5 RAM up to 12GB.
Although Qualcomm has not provided a release date for the new mid-range processor, we assume that it may be revealed during the Snapdragon Summit, which will take place in Hawaii from November 15 to November 17. Qualcomm may also disclose information on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in addition to those other things.
