Shell SLEX Mamplasan Northbound launched its first-ever electric vehicle charging station. This marks the company’s first step into servicing cars that rely solely or partly on electricity instead of fossil fuels.
Even though Shell’s charger is not the first of its kind in the country, since there are already similar chargers found in UniOil and SM Malls, Shell is distinguished for having a 180-kilowatt DC charger – the fastest charger to date in the country.

With a price of ₱65 per minute, a typical full charge of a scooter will easily cost a rider ₱1,950 for a 30-minute service. As a bonus, EV owners can earn points by using their Shell Go+ Cards, which adds to the overall experience.
Using the CCS2 connectors on the Star Charge Titan 180 300A, up to two EVs can be charged at one station simultaneously. This highlights the charging capability of the Titan 180 300A.
Shell Philippines’ charging stations are not just turning away from fossil fuel in terms of the overall picture; they are also drawing energy from renewable sources. On the roof of the Shell Recharge station, power is generated by solar panels installed on top of them, generating energy for the station.
