Another mid-range phone has been revealed by Samsung, this time it’s the Galaxy A31. The device comes in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush Red and Prism Crush White colors. The price and release date remain to be seen, but the full specification is already available. Based on what we’re seeing, it might be a good alternative to Realme 6i if your priority is a better screen quality over gaming.
Samsung Galaxy A31 features 6.4″ FHD+ Super AMOLED with an Infinity-U notch. The bezels are slims on nearly all sides, but the chin bezel is awfully thick. Samsung’s new phone is powered by Helio P65 SoC which is based on the 12nm node. It’s paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB expandable storage. A large 5000mAh battery is present, along with the support for 15W fast charging via USB-C. When it comes to the optics, the camera system of the Galaxy A31 is on par with Realme 6i. There’s a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP depth, and 5MP macro lenses, while the front camera has a 20MP sensor.
We immediately compared the Galaxy A31 to the Realme 6i due to their nearly identical spec sheet. As much as we want to recommend Samsung here, we’re worried about the price it will come with. Last year, the Galaxy A30 went official for P13,990. Our gut tells us that the Galaxy A31 could arrive somewhere around that price.
