Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge, a new member of the series. It was teased earlier this year at MWC and at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025.
Still unconfirmed, but the device is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2K resolution, and up to 2,600 nits peak brightness. It’s also said to be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
For cameras, the S25 Edge might come with a 200MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the front, there’s a 12MP selfie shooter.
Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor found in the rest of the S25 series, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Battery-wise, the device might pack a 3,900mAh battery, which is a bit of a letdown, while charging is expected to max out at 25W wired.
Reports say the phone is just 5.84mm thick and weighs around 162 grams, making it the thinnest and lightest Galaxy S phone in recent years.
According to Samsung’s invitation, the Galaxy S25 Edge is confirmed to launch on May 13, 2025 at 8 AM GMT+8, which is local time in the Philippines. However, the specifications mentioned above are still based on rumors and have not been confirmed, so it’s best to stay tuned for the official launch.
