Design

The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 is bigger and better for productivity due to its broader display, but the Redmi Pad is more compact and better to use everywhere, even on a train and other modes of transportation. A tablet’s dimensions are more significant to look at than its appearance. We advise the Lenovo tablet if you don’t mind its large size because it has a more attractive appearance. It has a higher screen-to-body ratio and narrower bezels around the display, as you can probably see in the image. Additionally, it has a less intrusive and smaller camera module. The Redmi Pad is not an unsightly tablet, and it is designed with an aluminum frame, which improves the device’s build quality and resilience. Furthermore, it is not only smaller, but also thinner and lighter than its competitor.

Display

Choose the Redmi Pad if you want the highest viewing quality. It includes a 10.61-inch diagonal IPS LCD display with a Full HD Plus resolution of 1200 x 2000 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a typical brightness of 400 nits that can display up to one billion colors. Although it lacks the stunning colors and deep blacks of high-end smartphones because it is not an OLED panel, this display is still excellent in terms of color reproduction and offers a smoother experience due to its high refresh rate. The wider 11.5-inch display and larger size of the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 are crucial for productivity. Unlike its competitor, it also supports the stylus for handwriting and drawing. However, in terms of visual quality, it falls short. It offers a 1200 x 2000 pixel Full HD Plus resolution, a regular 60 Hz refresh rate, and a usual brightness of 400 nits. These tablets include four stereo speakers as well as a 3.5 mm audio connector.

Camera

The back camera of the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 is superior, with a 13 MP resolution and an f/2.4 focal aperture. The sensor can record 1080p movies and is combined with an LED flash. Both tablets include an 8 MP front camera, while the Redmi Pad’s rear camera is lesser at 8 MP.

Specs & Performance

These two tablets have the exact same hardware department if we eliminate the most inexpensive versions and take into account the most costly ones. They are powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 mobile platform, an octa-core midrange chipset with a 6 nm manufacturing process. Six Cortex A55 cores operating at 2 GHz, a Mali G57 MC2, and two Cortex A76 cores with a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz make up the chipset. Up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of native storage are available in addition to the SoC, and a micro SD card allows for further expansion. The Lenovo Tab P11 differs significantly in terms of software: unlike the Redmi Pad, it runs Android 12L, a tablet-optimized version of the green robot. The Redmi runs Android 12 with MIUI 13, just as Xiaomi phones announced in 2022.

Battery

The Redmi Pad has a larger battery while being smaller in size. It runs longer on a single charge because of the larger capacity and the absence of a larger display.

Price & Availability

The Redmi Pad costs around $250 or Php13,999 to get started, while the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 costs around $350 or Php19,802. Which one would you choose?
