Xiaomi Philippines’ official Facebook page has teased the arrival of Redmi 9 Series in authorized concept stores very soon. As of writing, you can only get Xiaomi’s entry-level king phone through Lazada and Shopee — the company’s official global sellers. Ordering through those stores means waiting up to 30 days for the devices to arrive locally. But aside from the standard Redmi 9, the cheaper Redmi 9A is also going to be available. Based on a leaked product catalog, the successor of Redmi 8A packs 6.53″ HD+ display, Helio G25, and 5000mAh battery.
As for the price of Redmi 9, the device is currently listed at P6,990 for the 3GB/32GB and P7,490 for the 4GB/64GB model. We’ve yet to receive official pricing of the Redmi 9A but, we expect it to be around P5,990 or less.
