Design

untitled 1The realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker is very portable and only weighs 200 grams. It’s fairly large on my small hand, but you can still hold it without feeling any stress on your fingers. It is in a round shape–very much like the shape of cobblestone. The front part is a metallic grille, and it doesn’t easily dent when putting pressure on it.

The frame and back have a matte silicon rubber feel and it’s comfortable to touch. It has an LED indicator that flashes blinking white when pairing, steady white when playing music, and green when charging. It has two buttons, a power button and a multifunctional button. The USB Type-C port is hidden underneath the rubber lid, which prevents water from coming in. The realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker is IPX5 Water Resistant, which means it is safe from water splashes.

The back has a Dare To Leap catchphrase with some certifications and quick specs around it. It also has tiny feet to add grip when placed on smooth surfaces. This also prevents the speaker from wobbling and vibrating above the surfaces as the foot absorbs the vibration of its bass, which is a nice design.

realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker is available in two colors, we have the Electric Blue with Camouflage Graffiti Style, while the other color is metal black with a glowing effect on its lanyard. It also has a strong and durable lanyard strap, and its design is like the shoestring, which is safe for hanging indoors and carrying outdoor. The overall design is clever and attractive while having a great style.

Pairing

4 2For its pairing, It features Bluetooth 5.0 that supports AAC and SBC codecs. It showed seamless connectivity with a 10-meter pairing range and fast pairing with just powering on the Bluetooth speaker. It will ring a continuous sound if it is in pairing mode.

To further customize and communicate to the realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker you need to install the realme link companion app. It enables you to customize button controls, disable the auto power-off feature, and the best thing is the 3 Equalizer Presets. The Bright EQ will add loudness while enhancing the voice clarity with lesser bass. Dynamic is the balanced EQ with clean vocals and a thug feel on its bass. The Bass Boost+ is the perfect fit when listening to music and watching movies as it makes the speaker vibrate energy without any distortion. I really like how it vibrates on my hand, and as I said, the device has a tiny foot to absorb vibration means that it is pretty stable and solid.

Gestures and Function

Even the realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker only has two buttons, it has gestures to make your life easier by pressing and holding the multifunctional button;

  • Single-Click – Play/Pause
  • Double-Press – Next track
  • Triple-Press – Previous track
  • Touch and Hold – Disconnect Bluetooth connectivity

These functions are the default settings, but they can be customized using the realme Link app, and it can also launch a Voice Assistant. The downside is, it doesn’t have volume buttons and game mode, on the other hand, can only enable through the realme link app.

Speaking of Game mode, the realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker has an 88ms Super Low Latency feature that syncs audio and video with low latency and short delay. At first, I thought it’s quite unnecessary as most users use headsets when playing games. Still, it’s a great addition to its functionality, especially when you enable stereo pairing, which we will discuss later.

Performance

12 1The realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker is built with a 5W Dynamic Bass Boost Driver and an Extra Bass Radiator to enhance the thug feel of its bass further. The passive radiator creates the bass effect and adds extra oomph to the sound, thanks to the air pressure created by the smaller speaker cones.

The sound doesn’t disappoint, and it really has a thug feel and even vibrates nicely due to the bassy sound. It has a powerful bass with no rattle sound, thanks to its tiny feet that absorb vibration. It has a clear sound and clarity, and to describe what I felt, it’s a small device that fires a powerful sound. The music is loud, but it doesn’t introduce noticeable distortions and irritate one’s ear. It is quite a premium device that is powerful enough to give an entertainment in the bedroom and outdoors.

One of the unique features of the realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker is the ability to have stereo pairing. If you have two realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker, you can link them by pressing and holding power and multifunctional buttons on the second speaker while the first speaker is powered on. They will connect automatically, and they will blast left and right channels, respectively. That adds an immersive sound experience not only in music but also when watching movies, which is a great feature for the price.

Battery

3 2For the battery, the realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker has a 1500mAh battery and lasts up to 9 hours of continuous music playback but depending on the volume and audio content. It has a free Type-C cable with yellow color inside the box, which is nice. Upon charging the Bluetooth Speaker, it will blink green, indicating that it is in a charging state; it will flash a steady green light when fully charged. Charging time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the remaining juice.

Verdict

1 2All in all, the realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker gives contentment and really is valuable for the price. It’s a solid speaker with a sound quality that bass-heads will love thanks to Bass Boost+ enhancement and the 5W Dynamic Bass Boost Driver. I wish it has more color options that will perfectly fit every home setup, but the present design is still smart and eye-catching already.

The downside is it doesn’t have volume controls which I found just fine as the speaker is already loud. But what’s great is how it communicate to its users, like the led indicator and notification sounds that even it doesn’t have an interface, it connects well to you and other devices with smart and straightforward functions.

On 8.8 Sale, the price of the realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker will be P1,190 from its original SRP of P1,590. It is available on realme official online store in Lazada and Shopee.
