OPPO, for the past few years, is undoubtedly one of the pioneers of mobile innovation. After releasing the second generation of Find X phone, which is the Find X2 series, the Chinese company is introducing a new technology that will change the way we charge our smartphones. Debuting on the Reno Ace Infinity, the upcoming device will feature “air-charging” technology which basically truly wirelessly charges the device. OPPO is calling this feature “FreeVOOC”.
We’re not sure how FreeVOOC entirely works, but OPPO shared that Reno Ace Inifinity will continuously charge between 5W-10W if it’s within 10 meters, for the lack of a better term, the charging station. The technology was made possible, thanks to the three-layer material embedded in the rim of the Ace Infinity — an absorption layer, a conversion layer, and a conductive material.
