OnePlus is set to launch its upcoming smartphone in China and the first in the Ace series, the OnePlus Ace. It will go official on April 21, 2022, at 7 PM local time.
The brand has revealed via Weibo its rear design showing three cameras, flat sides, and lacking OnePlus’ signature alert slider. It resembles the recently launched realme GT Neo 3 in terms of design, but the LED flash has been moved to the side.
According to the company, the Black color variant has a low-key and steady, flickering with tiny points of light, while the Blue version has an Ambilight, originating from the arctic glow.
The smartphone is also confirmed to arrive with 150W SuperVOOC fas charging. It is also expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset.
For specs, the OnePlus Ace is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ (2412 × 1080) AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery.
For photography, it will allegedly use a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, an 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide shooter, and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront is a 16MP Samsung S5K3P9SP selfie camera.
Other rumored specs include an Android 12-based ColorOS 12 (OxygenOS 12 for global) for OS, an In-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.
