Razer and Lambda (a deep learning-focused firm) recently partnered to launch the TensorBook, a laptop designed for deep learning developers. It combines Razer’s hardware and advanced machine learning from Lambda.
The TensorBook’s hardware is based on the Razer Blade 15. It sports a 15.6-inch IPS screen with a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It measures 16.9 x 355 x 235 mm and weighs 2.1kg.
Under the hood, the laptop features an Intel Core i7-11800H CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU, 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 64GB of RAM, and 2TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. For the ports, it has the 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, 3x USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a full-size SD card reader, and a combo audio jack.
Moreover, the Lambda TensorBook boots Ubuntu Linux with Lambda Stack pre-installed with the latest drivers and machine learning tools including PyTorch, Tensorflow, CUDA, and cuDNN. According to the company, Lambda Stack will be continuously updated, allowing users to update their systems with a single command. Windows OS is also available via a laptop in a dual boot configuration.
The Razer x Lambda TensorBook is priced at USD 3,499 (~PHP 183,296). The upgrades only include Windows dual-boot support and premium support from Lambda.
