Aside from Nokia 8.3 5G, HMD Global also announced two affordable phones, namely Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 3.4. Neither of the two comes with mind-boggling features; however, they look too good for how much they cost. Available later this year, Nokia 3.4 will retail for $179(~Php8,600). Starting September 23, you can purchase Nokia 2.4 via Amazon for $139(~Php6,700).

Nokia 2.4
With Nokia 3.4, it’s a compact phone with an HD+ screen that spans 6.39″ diagonal. It’s a decently specced phone for the price: Snapdragon 460, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage, 10W USB-C charging, 4000mAH, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Running Android 10 out of the box, the entry-level phone is also part of the Android One program. Perhaps, the most exciting part about this phone is the design. The back features 3D nano-textured cover with a die-cast metal frame that seems to be a first in a phone this cheap. Color-wise, you can get it in Fjord, Dusk, and Charcoal.

Nokia 3.4
Nokia 2.4 is a slightly less capable device wth its Helio P22 chipset, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage. However, the display is slightly bigger at 6.5″ diagonal as well as the 4500mAh battery. You do have to live with a micro USB port that charges merely at 5W only, but HMD Global claims up to two days battery thanks to Adaptive Battery technology. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the back, but AI Face Unlock is also available.Â
Neither of the two will shock the market with their offerings, but HMD Global is unmatched when it comes to software support thanks to its partnership with Google.
