According to reports, Apple has removed its cheapest Mac mini model.
The base model, introduced in 2024, offered an M4 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It was considered one of Apple’s more affordable desktop options.
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently said demand for the Mac mini and Mac Studio has been higher than expected, partly due to their use in AI-related workloads.

The CEO added that supply may take several months to catch up with demand. Now, the entry-level version is no longer listed.
The Mac mini lineup now starts at configurations with at least 512GB of storage, raising the starting price to PHP49,990.

Keep in mind that Apple has not officially confirmed if the entry-level Mac mini has been discontinued. There is also no lower-cost alternative currently available in the lineup.
