OPPO Find X9 Series Now Receiving ColorOS 17 Update in PH

OPPO has started releasing the ColorOS 17 update to OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Ultra smartphones in the Philippines.

The Android 17-based update introduces an overhauled user interface, additional AI utilities, and overall improvements to system performance and security.

Alongside the Find X9 and Find X9 Ultra, the initial rollout also covers the Find X9 Pro, Find X9s, Find N6, Find N5, the Pad 5 Pro, as well as the Find X8 Pro, Find X8, Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, Reno16 FS 5G, and Reno16 F 5G.

The update for both the Find X9 and Find X9 Ultra is over 3GB in size. Users are advised to ensure their devices have at least a 60 percent battery charge before initiating the update.

To recap, the ColorOS 17 update introduces Living Flow Design with fluid animations, upgraded visual effects, and improved touch responsiveness. The new Laminar Flow Engine and Adaptive Scheduling Architecture are designed to dynamically allocate system resources. OPPO claims this backend optimization delivers a 55 percent increase in app launch stability, 50 percent faster photo loading times, and a 25 percent boost in background app retention.

Visually, the operating system brings a refreshed interface featuring translucent elements and dynamic lighting. A newly implemented Unified Rendering Architecture drives these changes, ensuring highly responsive animations and fluid transitions across menus, notification panels, and tactile interface buttons.

The software upgrade also deploys a suite of artificial intelligence utilities, including an AI Mind Space tool that automatically groups saved locations, notes, and images into curated collections. For image editing, a new AI Photo Agent allows users to adjust composition, lighting, and color grading through text prompts and automated suggestions. Additionally, a context-aware feature called OSee actively scans on-screen content to recommend appropriate AI tools in real time. For audio-based tasks, the update includes an AI Live Interpreter that utilizes speaker recognition to translate in-person conversations through supported earbuds.

OPPO has also upgraded its Private Computing Cloud architecture with post-quantum security protocols and end-to-end dual encryption to reinforce user privacy, while the Transparency Report feature grants users direct oversight over how the system processes and manages their AI-related data.

The update will roll out gradually across eligible devices. Users can check for the update by navigating to Settings and selecting Software Update.
