Apple has listed the iPhone X and 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro as vintage products under its latest service and repair classifications.
What is Apple Vintage Product?
Apple considers products vintage when they stopped being distributed for sale more than five but less than seven years ago.
Apple classifies products as obsolete once more than seven years have passed since they were last distributed for sale. Obsolete products no longer receive hardware service from Apple, and service providers cannot order parts for them.
However, vintage products may still receive service and parts through Apple or Apple Authorized Service Providers.
Mac laptops may also qualify for battery-only repairs for up to 10 years after Apple last distributed the product, subject to parts availability.
The iPhone X was launched in 2017, while the 15-inch MacBook Pro was part of Apple’s 2018 MacBook Pro lineup.
