LG Velvet is slated to release tomorrow, however, the price and availability have been revealed already. The new Velvet device from the company will launch with a price of KRW 899,900 (~P37,000) while pre-orders will start from May 8 until 14 in South Korea. Apparently, there’s a hefty price to pay for that new premium design that features a curved display and raindrop camera module. But to make it a little less painful, LG is offering up to 50% discount through three major Korean carriers when owners will return their Velvet device…after two years.
Assumed to replace the LG G series, LG Velvet is a large device thanks to the 6.8″ FHD+ OLED display. It’s powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset which enables 5G connection. There’s a single model only that comes with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM. As for the raindrop camera module, it features a 48MP sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 5MP depth-sensing. The battery is rated 4300mAh but it supports 10W wireless charging which is rare on mid-range devices. LG Velvet is going to be available in Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green, and Illusion Sunset colors.
