Huawei continues to dominate the affordable mid-range market by releasing its fourth device for the day — meet the Huawei Y8s. Unlike most phones, the Y8s is using its cameras to good use by having two cameras on the back and another two on the front.
Starting from the back, the main cameras feature a 48MP f1.8 sensor and a 2MP f2.4 depth lens. Huawei is touting Super Night Shot mode that’s supposed to provide better low-light quality photos. Upfront is another pair featuring an 8MP f2.0 wide sensor and a 2MP f2.4 depth lens.
Performance-wise, we’re looking at Kirin 710 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There’s a higher-tier model with twice the storage, but the pricing and availability of Huawei Y8s are yet to be revealed. Capping off the feature list is 4000mAh battery with no fast charging and outdated EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie. Expect no Google services here either. The Y8s is available in Emerald Green and Midnight Black colors.
