We have another duo of budget phones coming our way — dubbed as Huawei Y6p and Huawei Y5p, these devices just launched in Romania with prices of RON 799(~P9,000) and RON 599(~P6,800), respectively. And yes, they don’t come with Google services out of the box. However, Huawei’s Mobile Services are available alongside AppGallery. Both phones are available already with no word yet whether it’ll arrive in other regions.
Huawei Y6p, at the core, features MediaTek Helio P22 chipset with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. A massive 5000mAh battery ensures that it can last up to two days, although you need to charge it via micro-USB with no fast charging technology. The 6.3″ HD+ IPS LCD is on the smaller side compared to the likes of Realme 6i. The teardrop notch houses an 8MP selfie camera while the back shows 13MP main sensor, alongside 5MP ultrawide and 2MP depth lenses. Last but not least is the inclusion of a rear-capacitive fingerprint scanner. Huawei Y6p comes in non-glossy black & glossy green and purple.Â
For the Huawei Y5p, it has a compact body of yesterday. The screen only measures 5.45″ featuring TFT LCD HD+ resolution. Even with the thick bezels, the aspect ratio is a narrow 18:9 already. The same Helio P22 chipset is present but only paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The battery is smaller, too, at 3020mAh only. On the flip end, the device runs on Android 10 already. Furthermore, there’s an 8MP main camera and 5MP selfie. Huawei Y5p is available in black, blue, and mint colors.Â
