Lenovo Announces Legion Geek Pro G5000 Gaming Laptop with RTX-4050.

Lenovo, known for its ThinkPad and Legion series of notebooks, has revealed that the Chinese market will soon have access to its next-generation, budget-friendly Legion gaming laptops driven by Nvidia’s latest RTX 40 series graphics processing units.

A post on Lenovo Legion China’s official Weibo account confirmed that the Lenovo Legion Geek Pro G5000 would be the company’s next gaming notebook released in China. The notebook mentioned above will use the 95W maximum TDP version of Nvidia’s laptop-optimized GeForce RTX 4050 Processor.

Lenovo also provided performance evaluations, specifically the 3DMark Time Spy Benchmarks, demonstrating the Legion’s RTX 4050’s remarkable power economy. It is because the GPU can produce more than 50% of the maximum performance of the RTX 4050 despite drawing only 45W of power.

The RTX 4050-powered notebook features more efficient GPU operation and has 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM, support for the AV1 video-encoding format, and Nvidia’s DLSS 3.0 graphics technology.

The Lenovo Legion Genius Pro G5000 isn’t just about how fast its graphics processing unit is; it also looks the part. The gaming laptop has a matte black unibody impervious to fingerprints and various connections, including USB-A 3.1, USB-C Thunderbolt, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and an HDMI connector, according to the Chinese news site ITHome.
