The Go 3, the latest iteration of Insta360’s compact action camera, is set to become a must-have accessory for adventure enthusiasts. However, its physical dimensions and retail price have increased compared to its predecessors.
Starting at $380 (approx. ₱21,000) for the base model with 32GB storage, and reaching $430 (approx. ₱24,000) for the 128GB storage version, the Go 3 represents a notable price hike from the Go 2, which was priced at $300 (around ₱17,000). Nevertheless, the Go 3 offers a plethora of enhanced features and capabilities.
The Go 3 retains the compact oval design of its predecessors, capable of capturing videos and photos. Its small size and magnetic back allow for easy attachment to various objects, providing unique perspectives.
The Go 3 is slightly larger than previous versions due to an improved and larger camera sensor, enabling video recording up to 2.7k and offering both landscape and portrait orientations. However, the most significant upgrade is the case, which resembles a GoPro with a 2.2-inch flip-out screen. The Go 3 functions like a conventional action camera when housed in the case.
While the video quality of the Go 3 may not surpass that of a smartphone, it excels in capturing a wider and more immersive field of view. Its superior stabilization capabilities make it an ideal choice for individuals looking to document their activities, ranging from cycling and skateboarding to more adventurous pursuits like skydiving.
