Apple Home Collection Announced

Apple has announced Apple Home Collection, a new lineup of smart home accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric.

The collection includes security cameras, a video doorbell, a smart deadbolt lock, thermostats, and temperature sensors.

The accessories are designed to work with Apple Home and can be set up using an iPhone without requiring a separate app or account. Users can manage the devices through the Home app or Siri.

LG’s lineup includes a wired video doorbell, floodlight camera, outdoor camera, indoor camera, smart deadbolt lock, and smart thermostat. Meanwhile, Schneider Electric is offering a smart thermostat and room sensor.

The cameras support up to 2.5K video resolution and can recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles, and packages. With a supported home hub and iCloud+ plan, users can access up to 10 days of event video history without a separate camera subscription.

The smart deadbolt lock supports Ultra Wideband technology for automatic unlocking when a user approaches with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch. It also supports PIN entry, a backup key, and guest access sharing through the Home app.

Both companies’ thermostats support automatic temperature adjustments based on whether someone is home, away, or preparing for sleep. The thermostats and temperature sensors are also compatible with Matter.

Apple said the accessories support Thread and feature end-to-end encryption for data handled through Apple Home.

Pricing and Availability

Apple Home Collection will be available starting December 2026 through Apple’s online store, Apple Store app, and physical Apple Store locations.

Pricing and availability in the Philippines have not yet been announced.
