HUAWEI has launched the FreeBuds Pro 5 in additional markets outside China as part of its global rollout.
The HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5 features a refined design, utilizing a star-ring diamond-cut design on the buds and an oval-shaped charging case. The earbud comes with silicone ear tips and an in-ear stem-style design, making it suitable for long listening sessions.
Under the hood, the buds are powered by HUAWEI’s Kirin A3 chipset, handling environmental processing and noise reduction. It works alongside upgraded microphones, while call clarity remains unaffected, even in situations where wind speeds reach 10 m/s, and noise levels exceed 100 dB.
Additionally, the FreeBuds Pro 5 has a dual-unit, dual-channel active noise cancellation system that can cancel out background noise by emitting reverse sound waves. According to Huawei, the performance of this new system is up to three times better than that of the previous generation.
Moreover, the FreeBuds Pro 5 boasts the brand’s own NearLink Audio technology, which enables 2.3 Mbps lossless transmission and can jump to 12 Mbps. This is intended to facilitate a stable connection and end-to-end transmission. It supports AAC, SBC, LDAC, and L2HC codecs.

For the battery, each earbud packs a 60mAh capacity, while the charging case comes with a 537mAh battery. According to Huawei, the earbuds have 9 hours of playback time without active noise cancellation and 6 hours with ANC enabled.
The FreeBuds 5 Pro come with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Available colors include Snowy White, Frost Silver, Azure Sky, and Earth Gold.
The HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5 is priced at €199 (~PHP 13,539) and is now available to order via Huawei’s official online store.
