If a Windows 10 device is available, users can install Windows 11 right away. The Installation Assistant now makes getting started a simple on the Windows 11 download page.
The official ISO file is accessible online as well. It may be installed on as many suitable devices as customers choose and is the quickest and easiest way to copy it on a USB stick or other flash drive. The process is still somewhat difficult despite Microsoft’s stated support.
Verify again before you begin that there will be no space issues. Given that the Windows 11 ISO file is 5.1GB in size, you’ll need adequate space on the computer where it’s being downloaded, any flash drives you’re using, as well as the target devices.
Our advice on how to free up space in Windows 10 can be useful if this is proving to be difficult. It’s a good idea to make a backup of any files you won’t need right away before carrying out a factory reset. Make your decision when you get back to your computer.
In the past, participating in the Windows Insider Program and logging into a Microsoft account were prerequisites for the download process. Now, it’s much simpler.
1st step: Visit the Windows 11 official download page.
2nd Step: To create Windows 11 installation media, select “Download Now” under that option.
3rd Step: The Media Creation Tool will now start to download. When it’s finished, double-click to start.
4th step: Download the ISO file by adhering to the on-screen directions.
If you want to keep any of the files or data you currently have, make sure you choose this option. After installation, Windows 11 will function as if it had just been unboxed.
It is little more challenging to install it using a USB device, though.
Transfer to a USB drive
In File Explorer (or Finder on a Mac), the ISO file will appear as any other download. Just connect your USB drive or another flash drive to your computer and proceed as usual with the file transfer. It will take one or two minutes to finish this.
It must be made bootable if you wish to use that USB stick to run Windows 11 once it is plugged in. Microsoft recommends Rufus for this.
Step 1: On the device running Windows 11 and the most recent version of Rufus (3.15 as of this writing), download and install it.
The USB drive that will be used to mount the ISO file must be plugged in
2nd step: Connect the USB disk on which the ISO file will be mounted. Verify that there is at least 8GB of available space and that all other files have been erased.
3rd Step: Select the appropriate USB in the “Device” section of the main Rufus panel.
4th step: choose NTFS for the file system and MBR for the partition scheme.
5th step. Choose the ISO file by clicking “SELECT” next to “Boot selection.”
Step 6: Click “Start” to start the process. Depending on your USB stick’s speed, the time required will vary.
When you’re done, you’ll have a USB stick that you may use to install Windows 11 on any apparatus that is compatible.
1st Step: Place the USB stick inside the desired device.
2nd Step: Restart the device.
3rd Step: To enter Safe Mode, press and hold the F8 key before the Windows logo appears.
4th step: The USB stick should be chosen from the drop-down box under “Use a device”
Your computer should now start up with the Windows 11 ISO file that you downloaded. If not, you might have to disable Secure Boot in the BIOS.
