GoPro Hero9 With 5k Video Record & Front Display Now Available for Php26,490


GoPro has announced its newest action camera — the Hero9. Available in select partner retailers and GoPro’s official LazMall and Shopee Mall, the Hero9 comes with a suggested retail price of Php26,490. For that, you’re getting a new camera lens that can record videos up to a whopping 5K resolution, capture 20MP photos, and take advantage of the new front-facing display.GoPro has decided to eliminate the plastic packaging from Hero9 Black in exchange for a high-quality travel case that can also house additional mounts and accessories.

And due to the bigger sensor, the battery capacity has been increased to 30% as well, with improved cold-weather performance. 

GoPro Hero9 also debuts the HyperSmooth 3.0 Video Stabilization and a Max Lens Mod accessory that brings Max HyperSmooth video stabilization and Max SuperView ultra-wide-angle photo and video to HERO9 Black. The price of Max Lens Mod has yet to be announced, bu the Media Mod with a removable foam windscreen, Display Mod, and Light Mod are priced at Php4,790, Php4,790, and Php2,990, respectively. All of them, except for Light Mod) will become available in the Philippines by the end of 2020.

Open exclusively to owners of HERO9 Black, the Million Dollar Challenge will award an equal share of $1,000,000 to entrants whose video clips are chosen for the HERO9 Black Million Dollar Challenge video that will be released in December 2020. 

Beginning today, HERO9 Black users are invited to capture and submit their video clips for consideration to the HERO9 Black Million Dollar Challenge on GoPro.com/Awards. Submissions close on Friday, December 4.
